Fashion Forward Design Receives Tremendous Accolades

Sarasota, Fla, July 11, 2016: Robert Davie and Associates Landscaping, a 40-year veteran of landscape design was just featured as the main event in Landscape and Design Magazine for a recent renovation evoking a true fashion forward design concept.

“We created an entirely new space with a contemporary and clean feel and expanded the footprint out in three different directions,” says Robert Davie.

The company specializes in the design and implementation of complete outdoor living spaces. This particular project was a redesign for a home that had a definite 90’s feel and was in need of a fashion- able facelift from top to bottom. This entailed a new pool, pool enclosure, spa and outdoor kitchen. The plans included several seating areas, water and fire features, landscape makeover and stunning LED lighting. The look can be described as Avant garde with touches such as canvas and steel cantilevered awnings and brushed stainless steel and wood columns.

“These columns are truly very custom pieces, a work of a craftsman” says Davie.

The landscape materials included a large selection of palms with contrasts in texture and ground orchids for color. Lighting is also a key element with LED tape lighting used throughout the outdoor area set in aluminum tracks and covered in translucent polycarbonate material. Some of the lights are considered jewelry case style and create indirect lighting as they shine upwards to the awning.
